Excavators tend to become full of dirt during engineering operations, and regular cleaning not only makes their appearance neat and beautiful, but also plays an important role in extending the service life of the equipment.

First, make preparations. It is crucial to choose a suitable car wash site, preferably in a flat and well-drained place, so as to avoid washing the car in muddy or water-prone areas, thereby ensuring better cleaning results. At the same time, prepare car washing tools such as high-pressure water guns, soft brushes, sponges, car washing liquids, and clean rags. For second-hand dealers, it is particularly important to have professional car washing tools, which can greatly improve the cleaning effect and make second-hand excavators more attractive in appearance, thereby increasing their market competitiveness.

Then perform preliminary flushing. Use a high-pressure water gun to fully flush the excavator, starting from the top, and flush the fuselage, arm, bucket and other parts in turn, so that most of the dirt, dust and debris can be quickly washed away. During the flushing process, pay attention to adjusting the pressure of the water gun. Excessive pressure may cause damage to the surface of the equipment. In addition, the tires and tracks should be rinsed to remove dirt and debris, and the rotating parts of the tires and tracks should be clean and unobstructed so that the equipment can run more smoothly during operation.

Then apply the car wash liquid. Pour an appropriate amount of car wash liquid into a bucket, dip the car wash liquid with a sponge or soft brush, and evenly apply it to the surface of the excavator. For areas with heavy oil pollution, such as around the engine compartment and the hydraulic system, it is necessary to focus on cleaning. Let the car wash liquid stay on the surface of the equipment for a period of time to fully play its cleaning role, so that stubborn stains can be better removed.

Then scrub carefully. Use a soft brush or sponge to scrub the excavator carefully, from top to bottom and from inside to outside. Pay special attention to cleaning gaps, corners and hard-to-reach areas to ensure that the dirt is thoroughly removed. For particularly stubborn stains, you can use special detergents or decontamination powders to treat them, but be sure to pay attention to the method and dosage of use to avoid corrosion on the surface of the equipment.

Then rinse again. Use a high-pressure water gun to rinse the excavator again to completely wash away the car wash liquid and dirt. Make sure that all parts are rinsed clean without leaving any residue. During the rinsing process, you can carefully check whether there are any stains or unwashed areas on the surface of the equipment. If necessary, you can perform local cleaning.

Finally, wipe and maintain. Use a clean rag to wipe the moisture on the surface of the excavator to avoid rust or corrosion caused by residual moisture. For second-hand dealers, the excavator can be properly maintained after wiping dry, such as applying rust inhibitors and adding lubricants to moving parts, which can improve the performance and value of the equipment. At the same time, check whether all parts of the equipment are normal. If problems are found, repair or deal with them in time.

In short, the correct car washing method can keep the excavator in good appearance and performance at all times. Whether it is an excavator user or a second-hand dealer, they should attach great importance to the cleaning and maintenance of the excavator to provide better protection for engineering operations and equipment transactions.
